PVM Foundation has established three giving societies in honor of donors who have made lasting commitments in support of our mission. Members of these societies are invited to special PVM events as well as an annual donor recognition event, typically held in the spring. The PVM Foundation is deeply grateful to all members of these giving societies, whose commitment and generosity enables PVM to reach new heights in senior living and care for years to come.
Commemorating Loyalty Through Planned Giving
The Calvin Society was established to honor all donors who have made a planned or deferred gift to support PVM. Types of planned gifts include beneficial designations of life insurance policies and qualified retirement plans, bequests and gifts of assets transferred to the Foundation or a trust in exchange for current income. Clarence D. Sterling Society
Commemorating a Lifetime of Compassion
The Clarence D. Sterling Society honors a donor’s cumulative contributions over time. When a donor's total irrevocable giving reaches $50,000 or more (not including special event participation or in-kind gifts), this donor becomes a member. The Society is named for PVM’s first donor, whose gift helped establish our flagship Village, The Village of Redford, in 1945.
Rev. Dr. L.J. Peterson Mission Makers Society
Commemorating Commitment Through Multi-Year Pledges
The Rev. Dr. L.J. Peterson Mission Makers Society, established in 2012 to commemorate the passing of the former PVM President and CEO, is comprised of donors who have committed a multi-year pledge to PVM for $1,000 or greater, and two years or more.
